Review

Bakhtawar” deserves a big hand for portraying the dark side of the society where women are treated as objects of beauty and are considered personal property by the men. Undoubtedly, the media can play a constructive part in raising voices against the issues related to the society. In the same way, this drama highlights the plight of women in society. It acknowledges the fact that the survival of single woman is subjected to many difficulties. If a single woman wants to survive in this society, she has to muster the courage to face many hidden monsters. This drama accepts  the fact that women are not given equal opportunities for work. They are not treated in the same way as men. The working environment and opportunities for both the genders are not same. Consequently, they meet the fate, as which is depicted in the drama, of the girl who was killed at work.

Massive respect to the writer Nadia Akhtar for creating this masterpiece show Bakhtawar! There were three extremely important issues highlighted in the latest episode:
1: When Yumna gets into an argument with the Daewoo passenger and he insults her, another passenger says "tumharay ghar maa behen nahi hai?" And he responds "Meri Maa Behen ghar pe bethi hein izzat se, iss ki tarhan yahan mardon ko Chai Paani nahi dey rahi". All this was said to a woman who was covered head to toe and was literally doing her job as a bus hostess. How beautifully this painful plight of women is showcased that how working women are looked down upon, who are simply trying to earn a Halal living! It never matter what they wear, it is always about them trying to be independent! How tough this society makes it for them and then they have audacity to tell housewives "ye bus rotiyaan torrti hai" when they know what society does to them if they go out!
2: They highlighted a real life incident of a hostess called Mehwish who was sh*t dead because she refused a marriage proposal. Mehwish was the sole bread winner of her ailing parents.

In the third episode, a small attempt has been made to highlight other issues that, just as women have problems in getting jobs, men are also restricted, for example, boys are not considered qualified for the job of a call operator. Jata and the woman are kept like a showpiece, then the boys in the neighborhood are harassed for no reason and forced to smoke cigarettes

On the other hand, the explosive entry of the second main character of the drama and the feeling of Bakhtu for him leads the story in an unexpected direction.zaviyar numan acting also quit impressive
